Student Support

Hostel Facility :

The college has a boys hostel with the maximum accommodation/intake capacity of 125 students. Situated in the mid of the city of Rishikesh, the hostel is about 2.5 km from the college campus. The well-equipped hostel offers all the basic facilities to hostlers for comfortable stay and study. In addition to airy and clean rooms, the facilities include a common room, kitchen, dining hall, bathrooms, badminton court, indoor games, guest rooms, garden, water-purification system, water cooler, hot water supply, internet/Wi-Fi, inverter, generator set, round the clock water supply. Moreover, caring warden and a tight security ensures pleasant stay of hostlers. The basic amenities, pleasant and peaceful environment, together with cheap and affordable hostel fee, attract the students from remote areas of Uttarakhand as well as from other states. The hostlers are required to follow the specified rules of the hostel.

Internet Facility :

The college is equipped with high speed internet service available to the students of all the classes during the college hour. There is a separate internet lab with adequate number of computers for the students.

Railway Concession :

Facility of railway concession is available for students taking journey during college holidays to their permanent address entered in their admission application forms.

Fee Concession and Scholarship :

The collage provides fee concession for talented and poor students in various categories fixed by the state government further, a number of scholarship are also available for the students economic support. These include (ASEVIT) Versery, National Scholarship. Economic support it also available to the wards of the defense personal, freedom fighter, SC/ST/OBC. To avail the above scholarship candidates has to apply in the prescribed proforma at the proper time. The dates are announced through the bulletin board of the collage.

SCHOLARSHIPS :

There are provisions for different types of scholarships for different categories of students. College regular students can get following scholarships according to their eligibility for respective scholarships.

• SC, ST and OBC scholarship.
• Post-war soldiers’ scholarship.
• Poor boys fund aid.
• Scholarship for physically disabled.
• Scholarship for minorities students.

FEE CONCESSIONS :

Under the rules of Uttarakhand State Govt. fee concession is given for various categories of deserving students. Keeping in view that no worthy student should be deprived of higher education because of his/ her economic condition. There is also a provision for fee concession for fee concession for physically disabled persons.

Following the policy for promotion of higher education for girls there is a provision for full fee concession irrespective of cast or economic conditions. Thus the meritorious, economically deprived, physically disables and girls get full fee concession.

Grievance Redressal Mechanism :

Courteous and helpful service is extended by all the staff members in addressing the grievances of students. Principal should be contacted when the grievance is not redressed within the stipulated time by the first level contact person concerned. In case of non redressal within stipulated time the written complaint may be lodged to the Director Higher Education, Haldwani Uttarakhand.
